"And the other big thing, obviously, was the Chuck/Sarah love story. As Chris said, in the beginning of the show Chuck didn’t know what he wanted to do, but he had this group of friends and he had his family. He had his personal life pretty well figured out. His professional life not so much. And Sarah was someone who was going to come into his world and have her professional life completely figured out, but had no personal life. She was someone who was always the kickass CIA agent who never really had a family, never really had friends. So Chuck was always going to be envious and excited and looking up to her world, and Sarah was always going to be looking up to his world as well. And how nice it would be a human and relax and have friends and hang out. So watching Chuck become more of a badass spy and then watching Sarah become more human, reconnect with her family, be okay with having feelings and emotions. Those we two of the main character spines that ran through the show."
